Kourtney Malone is a photographer, producer, art director, and editor with over 9 years of professional experience. Originally from Wisconsin, she spent much of her childhood in Guinea, West Africa, and Chihuahua, Mexico, an upbringing that shaped her global perspective and passion for storytelling through the lens.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in photography and communication studies in 2014, developing a foundation in portraiture, conceptual photography, and photojournalism. In 2016, Kourtney moved to New York City and transitioned into food and product photography. She worked at UncommonGoods as a Product Photographer, gaining the opportunity to freelance for household brands like HelloFresh.

Over the years, she’s held a range of roles such as, photo assistant, lighting tech, digital tech, creative lead, and photo retoucher, which informs her multidisciplinary approach. She earned a Commercial Photography certificate in 2017 for Food Styling for Print and Media from the International Culinary Center. By 2020, she was leading the visual strategy for well over 30 brands at Sircle Media, a digital agency specializing in Consumer Packaged Goods content. 

Ultimately, she decided to go back to the reason why she started photography which was to create something meaningful. Today, Kourtney is an Assistant Photo Producer at Stand Together, a philanthropic organization committed to removing barriers that prevent people from reaching their full potential. Now based in Washington, D.C., she continues to approach her work with heart, intention, and a deep belief in the power of meaningful stories.
